FISHING CHANDELEUR
SHALLOW GRASS.
OPEN WATER.
YOUR CALL.
Chandeleur is a place where the way you fish can change with the season, wind, tide and water in front of you — wade the shoreline and grass when conditions line up or use the skiffs to cover more water.
THE ISLANDS
WHY CHANDY FISHES DIFFERENT.
Chandeleur is a remote barrier-island environment reached by boat, not by road. Shallow grass flats, cuts, coves and shoreline water shift with the wind and tide, and the smaller boats give anglers access to water that would otherwise be out of reach.
When conditions line up, getting out and wading puts anglers right in the middle of it.
TWO WAYS TO FISH
WADE IT, OR COVER WATER.

When the water and weather cooperate, get out of the boat and work cuts, shoreline and grass on foot.

Use the smaller boats to cover more water, fish deeper grass or move between productive areas efficiently.

THE FISH
THE FISH THAT KEEP YOU COMING BACK.
Grass, current, cuts and bait movement all shape where trout can set up.
Shallow edges, grass and shoreline water can create memorable redfish opportunities.
SEASONS & CONDITIONS
THE WATER CHANGES.
SO DOES THE GAME.
Chandeleur fishes year-round, but wind, tide, water clarity and temperature all shape what a given day looks like.
